Silicon Valley Clean Cities Coalition is a Department of Energy sponsored program designed to reduce our nation’s petroleum consumption by advancing the use of alternative fuels and vehicles. There are over 100 coalitions nationwide. SVCC covers South Bay areas.

Our annual Ride-and-Drive is an event that gives attendees a chance to get behind the wheel of an electric car (models have included Hyundai, Jaguar, Range Rover, Tesla, Toyota) to take a test drive, to learn about alternately fueled vehicles and the latest in EV technology, and to speak to owners of electric vehicles.

Youth for a Cool Earth (YCE) is a program designed to give students an opportunity to join the fight against climate change in the Bay Area, empowering them with practical skills and knowledge that they can use to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Transportation Projects Breathe California promotes cleaner-running alternatively fueled vehicles and alternative forms of transportation and encourages local residents to leave their cars at home whenever possible. As partners in the Santa Clara County Air Quality Resource Team, Breathe California works on community-based projects that address a number of local transportation and air quality issues.
