Dr. Velotta received his MD from the George Washington University School of Medicine. He then went on to finish general surgery residency at UCLA Medical Center along with a postdoctoral research fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Stanford University and completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Velotta’s clinical and research interests involve improving equitable access to at-risk populations for lung cancer screening, innovative surgical techniques for lung and esophageal cancer surgery, and multimodal treatment of pleural mesothelioma
