Breathe California’s annual Breath of Life Walk is a chance for local community members to get together and show their support in the fight against lung disease. Each year, the walk attracts people directly affected by lung disease as well as family, friends and others who wish to build healthier communities.

Registration for the Walk will open in July. Breath of Life Walk flyers will soon be available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

Why Participate in the Walk?

Breathe California is the only local agency devoted to fighting lung disease in all its forms. 100% of the proceeds from the Breath of Life Walk will remain in the Bay Area to help fund Breathe California’s wide array of local programs and services. Your generous donations will allow us to:

Teach kids with asthma how to manage their condition, train their care givers, and promote asthma friendly environments
Offer education and support to local residents who are suffering from emphysema, COPD, lung cancer, and sleep apnea
Keep youth from getting addicted to vaping/tobacco, and offer assistance to smokers trying to quit
Improve local air quality to ensure that all Bay Area residents can breathe easier
