Youth for Lungs has been working diligently with the Youth Leadership Institute and the Santa Clara County Public Health Department on the Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) project over the past few months.

Our Y4L members have been collecting data from youth across the county to answer their research question: “What do both users and non-users think the physical and emotional effects of cannabis use are, and how are they different?”, and they had the opportunity to share some preliminary results to public health professionals, community organizations, and other youth at the YPAR Showcase on October 23, 2025! The results from this research project will be used to inform our efforts to reduce and prevent underaged cannabis use in Santa Clara County.

Follow Y4L on Instagram (@youth4lungs) to stay tuned on our next steps! For opportunities to bring FREE cannabis awareness education to your campus or organization, please reach out to Vivian Chang (vivian@lungsrus.org).
