Mendocino County currently ranks 44th out of the 58 California counties in overall health,1 and is one of the cleanest counties in California for short-term particle pollution and ozone air pollution.2 About 90.2% of the population reports being in “Good”, “Very Good”, or “Excellent” health.3 Life expectancies, however, vary widely with census tracts and range from 76 to 81 years.
