Breathe California of the Bay Area, Golden Gate, and Central Coast is proud to announce that we are one of three recipients of The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Learn More Breathe Better 2020-2021 Community Subcontract Program.

Breathe California will expand the availability of COPD educational resources with a focus on vulnerable populations, including seniors with low socio-economic status and speakers of other languages.

Through this initiative, NHLBI provides funding to organizations around the country to implement innovative educational activities aimed at increasing awareness about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) – now the third leading cause of death in the U.S. – and supporting the goals of the COPD National Action Plan (https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/…/educa…/COPD-national-action-plan).
