Our agency has been serving the community for over 100 years. We have been improving the lives of others with health education programs which includes environmental health, asthma, anti-tobacco, lung disease, and community outreach, senior/youth programs. We are looking for an Environmental Health Intern to assist with our program.
Duties/ responsibilities:
- Locate new fuel stations / charging stations in the region and gather fuel prices
- Locate new fleets in the region (create an on-going list) and plan meetings
- Organize/plan alternative fuel events in the community
- Research alternative-fuel-related topics and events daily and post on social media
- Contribute/create articles for the program and the agency newsletter
- Create and maintain list for new/existing stakeholders and plan meetings
- Conduct training for Youth for a Cool Earth peer mentors and coordinate their activities
- Present O24U environmental education programs at schools and youth groups
- Assist with other agency programs as needed
Qualifications:
- Interest in environmental health
- Excellent communication skills
- Non-smoker
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate student program
