San Jose Bans Smoking in Parks!

On October 23rd, local health advocates converged on San Jose City Hall to make their case for a smoke-free parks policy in San Jose. Led by Breathe California and the Tobacco Free Collaborative of San Jose, the advocates rejoiced when the City Council followed the lead of Vice Mayor Dave Cortese and Councilmember Madison Nguyen in voting 10-1 to prohibit smoking in all city parks! Agency Hosting FREE Film Screening & FREE Quit Smoking Clinics at The Tech!

This November, Breathe California is joining up with BODY WORLDS 2 to bring lung health services to The Tech. On Sunday, November 11th, the agency will be hosting a FREE one-day lung health exhibition from 10 am to 3 pm, featuring a free showing of the acclaimed environmental film The 11th Hour (narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio) and a number of other lung health displays and services!
