Agency Becomes Breathe California
On February 1, our local agency, most recently known as the American Lung Association of Santa Clara-San Benito Counties, announced it is ending its affiliation with the national American Lung Association and the American Lung Association of California and changing its name to Breathe California. In forming Breathe California with four other former lung association affiliates, the agency can each continue to fight lung disease in all of its forms and work with its communities to protect lung health. We will work to expand the ways we serve you as well as reach all of our local residents with critical lung health resources. And as a part of a statewide network, we will be able to remain responsive to local needs while collaborating to achieve common goals.
Over the years our locally independent agency has a had a number of names, but our commitment to our mission has remained steadfast. As Breathe California we will continue to provide the quality programs and services which you depend on and work to help all of our local residents breathe easier. Thus, as we move forward as Breathe California, we hope you think of us as the same people, same mission, same enthusiasm and same experience - just with a different name!
