Is Your Indoor Living Environment Making You Sick?

The average American is indoors nearly 90 percent of the time. More than half of this time is spent in the home. Researchers have found air pollution can be much greater inside the home than outside.

Many contaminating substances give no warning and produce vague and sometimes similar symptoms that are hard to pin down to a specific cause. Or they produce symptoms years later, when it’s even harder to discover the cause.

Attendees will receive the following information:

  • Indoor Air Hazards you should know about
  • What are the Toxic Chemicals in our Household Products
  • Where are the following found:
    • Biological Pollutants (like molds, mildew and dust mites)
    • Combustion Pollutants
    • Carbon Monoxide
    • Lead dust
    • Secondhand Smoke
    • Formaldehyde
    • Asbestos
    • Nitrogen Dioxide
  • What is the best way to reduce exposure to indoor air pollutants
  • What do we add to the air
  • What naturally is added to the air
  • Typical No No’s
  • Biological Pollutants and Health Effects
  • Control of Biological Contaminants
  • Unhealthy Remodeling By-Products
  • Unhealthy Remodeling - Health Effects
  • Combustion Pollutants and Other Harmful Gases
