“I really liked camp because it taught me a lot about my asthma. At the camp I learned how to breathe better when I run. Now I can run farther without getting tired. Before the camp I would wheeze at night and it was hard to sleep. Now I sleep better.”

Environmental Health Programs

High levels of particle and ozone pollution continue to pose a serious health risk to Bay Area residents. Air pollution can lead to the onset of asthma, decreased lung function and even death. In addition, we work hard to improve indoor air quality as more than 90% of our time is spent indoors. To reduce the effects of environmental pollutants on our lungs, we provide various programs aimed at making our air healthier to breathe.
