Transportation Projects

Around the world, transportation is the leading cause of air pollution. Breathe California works on a number of fronts to reduce pollution emitting from vehicles.

As the technology has improved, alternatively fueleve vehicles (such as hybrids, nautral gas vehicles, hydorgen fuel cells) not only emit fewer air pollutatns, they are becoming efficient and practical for every day use. Breathe California works to:

Breathe California also actively promotes alternative forms of transportation and encourages local residents to leave their cars at home whenever possible. The agency:

Air Resource Team

Breathe California has partnered with the Santa Clara County Air Quality Resource Team, a collaboration of individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations sponsored by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD).
